Aloha and Thank you for your purchase from PC Gamerz Hawaii / OasisPC. Please take a few moments to read through this document on how we optimized your PC & instructions on how to best care for your new PC.

  • ● Windows has been updated to the latest version

    ● Increased pagefile to a set size on each Hard Drive

    ● Updated all Motherboard & GPU Drivers, including Motherboard BIOS

    ○ Optimized NVIDIA control panel settings

    ○ Optimized Motherboard BIOS

    ● Used Ninite to install the following apps: (Please run Ninite at least once a month to ensure that these programs are up to date)

    ○ Chrome

    ○ Air, Silverlight, Java, .NET 4.8 (General Redistributables)

    ○ 7-Zip (Zip & archive program)

    ○ Steam (For them games!)

    ○ CCCP, K-Lite Codecs, & VLC Player (For better video playback)

    ○ Zoom

    ○ Discord

    ○ Foxit Reader

    ○ TeamViewer (For troubleshooting, Our staff can remote into your PC with your permission)

    ● Changed Windows desktop & lock screen to PCGz wallpapers

    ● Optimized power delivery to High Performance

    ○ This keeps the CPU active & responsive

    ○ Turned off sleep (Not ideal to use this function, it is best to turn off computer when you are not using it)

    ● Disabled non-essential start-up applications.

  • We do not place a password on the system. Leave it blank and press enter to then proceed to sign in to your Microsoft account.

  • When installing a new GPU driver (nvidia or AMD) it is best to do a clean install. This fully removes the old driver, then installs it fresh. Only updated the driver if a game tells you, or you are experiencing issues. Updating to every new driver version is not recommended.

  • How to care for your computer:

    ● Non-essential programs or games (stuff you don’t use all the time)

    ○ Install them to secondary Hard Drive (if installed)

    ● Clean dust filters every 60 Days

    ● Put computer on a table instead of the floor (keep your computer happy)

    ○ If your floor is the only option, lift your computer up with 2x4’s

    ○ Refrain from putting it on carpet, it will increase the amount of dust in your case

    ○ You can clean your computer with canned air.

    ○ If unsure on how to clean, contact PCGz/Oasis to schedule an appointment, we will clean your computer for free

    ● Playing or using Facebook APPS/Games will increase your chance of infecting your computer with viruses

    ● Use Google Chrome when browsing

    ○ Unless you HAVE to use another browser

    ● Windows Defender is on & catches many threats

    ○ Bitdefender is our suggested antivirus program. You can get a free version or they have paid versions.

    ● If you have a tempered glass case, clean it with a microfiber cloth

  • I/O shield is subject to change. This is a general idea of what you would have on your PC.

    It may not be exact to what you have.

    ● Red or Blue/Teal USB outputs are higher speed. USB C is also very fast

    ● Black is USB 2.0

    ● Do not use HDMI or Display port on the I/O Shield (unless you do not have a dedicated GPU)

    ● If your motherboard has 2 ethernet ports you can use either one.

    ● If you have antenna ports & will be using Bluetooth or Wifi. The antenna must be plugged in. Antenna should be placed as high as possible

  • Your Graphics card should have at least 1 HDMI port, & 3 display ports.

    Display port is suggested for high refresh rate monitors

  • This is a general idea of what your PSU could look like.

    If your PSU has an ECO button next to the power (On/Off switch) DON’T TURN IT ON!

    If anything happens with the hardware that is a manufacturer defect, contact PC Gamerz

    hawaii for the proper steps or bring the computer in. We will contact the manufacturer(s) for

    issues during the warranty period. While parts are being RMA’d we will do our best to provide a

    loaner part to keep you up and running.
